As director of policy outreach for The Heritage Foundation, Thomas Binion is responsible for the think tank’s many programs on Capitol Hill. Each year, the Policy Outreach department hosts over 400 briefings and other such events
Binion previously was a legislative strategist for Heritage Action for America, the lobbying affiliate of The Heritage Foundation. His job was to convince members of Congress to support Heritage Action’s conservative policy agenda.
He also served as legislative director for a prominent conservative member of the House of Representatives.
Binion was born and grew up in Atlanta. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C.
He and his wife, Sarah, currently reside in Arlington, Va.
